I know there are not a lot of readers of our blogs etc., but for those who do read them, have a fast and accurate New Year!

Just to let anyone expecting leatherwork, that I should be at Leek with finished items. Possibly both days, to meet anyone concerned.

Just to let you all know that I have advertised our full year program on the CAScity website.
So we can expect to be inundated with competitors from over the Atlantic!

Here we go again, a new Year and everyone is getting their gear together, oiling up those sticking holsters, punching yet another hole in the belt to accomodate that Xmas excess,,,oh, and cleaning and fettling pistols and rifles!
Don't forget the loading for a seasons rifle shooting, top up the powder flask and, if you take my advice, lubricate your balls!
Good luck to you all and I'll hopefully see you on the firing line.

Just a note to thank Donald for an exceptional comp. at Leek.
New, great, scenery and lots of interesting stages.
Well done!! I brought a friend, his first shoot. He said afterwards that "I felt I would enjoy the weekend, but it far exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to the next one".
The Leek shoots are not to be missed!! Last North-Cotes shoot also was of a very high standard! We're being spoiled! Keep it up.
Sad that Haverford West is gone. I'll really miss that venue and the wonderful Welsh scenery that made the journey there so enjoyable.

Hi guys, just a bit of an update from the firing line.
The stalwarts who attend every meeting have been joined in the last year or so by a few new members.
These newbies obviously don't understand the rules of the game, at all!!
They seem to think that getting faster and more accurate is going to endear them to their fellow shooters.
Well I am here to tell them that its about time that they stopped all this self improvement and slipped back into the pack and wait untill some of the older members allow them to show their skills.
It's just not on,,,do they not know the British way of things,,,has this Western idea of gun-fighting gone to their collective heads??
I just don't know where it is all going to end up. Will we be saddled with a bunch of fast, accurate shooters who direspect their elders?
Could it be that I may have joined this sport a little late in life? Could it be that I may be a little slow and possibly jealous of this youthful posse?
Regards to you all, Grumpy Gunfighter.

Howdy guy's and gals, I keep coming across articles in various blogs and forums where people express disbelief in our sport.
They are totally ignorant of the fact that we can still have firearms, never mind that we have competitions.
Even some of my own club members thought that the BWSS died with the pistol ban.
Please try and spread the word among your friends and colleagues that we are still out there and looking for more members to join our ranks.

Once again we have had another great shoot down in Barry for the first of i hope many. Deputy Dewey put on a brilliant shoot and set a great atmosphere. We had a good turn out of about 12 people. I'm sorry if the dates where at the wrong time for some people so well organise it so everybody knows.
With a BIG THANKS to Deputy Dewey and Slack Alice
