Hi There

I have just registered on your website because I am hoping you can help me.

For some time I have wanted to own and learn to shoot a Winchester lever action rifle. I have shot air rifles in the past but do not know what I would need to do in terms of licences, insurance etc to own and use such a rifle.

I am sure this is something that the memebers of BWSS come across all the time and would really welcome some advice and guidance.

Thanks

Steve

PS the website is really interesting and I love the photo galleriers of your shoots.

Hi Steve, basically you would have to join a local shooting club (rifle/pistol as apposed to shotgun/clay pigeon).

Serve your probationary period, during which you should be taught safety and shooting procedures and then you could apply for your Fire Arms Certificate,( depending on your age).

Either your local cop shop or gun shop should be able to give you a contact for the shooting clubs in your area.

Good luck, any more questions?

Thanks Angel Eyes- I'll have a word with my local gun shop this weekend and get details for the local rifle/pistol club. Steve
